Shimanami cyclists' island base "Roadside Station Yoshiumi Iki-iki Kan

The Kurushima Kaikyo is one of Japan's three most powerful tidal currents, along with Naruto Kaikyo and Kanmon Kaikyo, and during high tides the maximum current can reach 10.3 knots (about 19 km/h), making it a powerful experience.
